Another non-wedding fiasco
Kristen and Brady were going to live in the DiMera mansion with Stefano, EJ and Sami. Her plan was to get engaged to Brady and dump him on the day of the wedding just like John did with her all those years ago. But it became clear that Kristen started to have real feelings for Brady. After some pushing by Kristen, Brady popped the question and Kristen said yes. An obstacle in Kristen's plan was the fact that Sy, the mugger who attacked Brady, came back and asked for more money. When Kristen refused Sy send around a picture of her paying him off around Salem. Sy also contacted Marlena and Kristen discovered that. She realized it was necessary to give hime more money and finally he left Salem. John returned to Salem with a plan to break up Brady and Kristen. Brady and John were still at odds and that didn't improve when John started to flirt with Kristen. And Kristen let him as they both had the same plan. Kristen intended to sleep with John and have Brady walk in on them. That way the two of them would be at odds forever and John's family would have been destroyed. John intended to sleep with Kristen too because he only cared about splitting up Brady and Kristen. When Brady suggested they could adopt a child, Kristen was genuinely touched. She wasn't sure whether she could go on with her plan or not. She went to the Salem Inn to spent the last night before the wedding there. John met her in her hotel room and they started to make out. Kristen couldn't go through with it and chose her love for Brady over revenge against John. Sadly for Kristen, Marlena got her hands of the picture of her paying off Sy. Marlena showed Brady the picture and he realized Kristen had been playing him. Brady canceled the wedding, Kristen had again lost the man she was in love with. However, she wasn't the only one who lost this time around. Kristen told Marlena John intended to sleep with her, making sure John and Marlena stayed separated as well.
